A WORKER from BP’s Clair Ridge platform has tested positive for coronavirus.
A BP spokesman said the individual tested positive in hospital for Covid-19 and was now isolating at home.

He said: “BP can confirm a member of crew has tested positive in hospital for Covid-19. The individual was taken onshore by helicopter on Friday [April 3]. He has since been discharged from hospital and is isolating at home.
“BP continues to follow all procedures and protocols to minimise the risk of Covid-19 offshore and to protect the health and wellbeing of our staff and contractors.”
It is not yet known if any other workers are currently in self-isolation on board the platform.
