The Cloud OS Network is a select group of service providers, granted access to the network based on their ability to serve local markets with hybrid and Azure-enabled cloud solutions.

While Microsoft has tens of thousands of hosting partners, Cloud OS Network partners are an elite group among them, and even rarer than the 2,500 partners in the firm’s Gold Hosting Competency.

The firm’s entry to the Network is part of the ‘brightsolid data centre and cloud innovation’ strategy. Earlier this year it saw the announcement of a £5million investment into a new Tier III data centre in Aberdeen, set to open on October 1, 2015.

brightsolid’s Microsoft Azure-enabled cloud stack, located in the new Aberdeen facility and existing Dundee Tier III site, will offer flexibility, choice and cost savings. brightsolid says the speed at which customers can access services and the simplified migration process is seen as a “game changer” for businesses embracing the cloud.

Richard Higgs, brightsolid CEO, said: “We are delighted to have been awarded this accreditation. It ensures customers anywhere in the UK can depend on our clouds. We see a world where we hold our customers critical data in our facilities and spin up servers anywhere in the world for them.

“This certification, our Cisco Cloud platforms and innovative utility storage means that we can deliver that vision securely today.”
