A BUSINESS event has created an all-digital bridge across the North Sea for the first time in its seven-year history.

The Aberdeen-Norway Gateway was hosted online for the first time by Granite PR and held in association with the Norwegian British Chamber of Commerce.

More than 180 registered delegates took part in the event which included speakers  Her Majesty’s Ambassador to Norway Richard Wood and Aberdeen Lord Provost Barney Crockett.

Mr Wood said: “Scotland and Norway are North Sea neighbours. They have highly skilled and integrated workforces and supply chains. It was a real pleasure to speak at an event which does not rest on past success, but also examines opportunity for the future in an evolving relationship.”

Brett Jackson, Granite PR founder and Gateway series creator, added: “We were delighted to successfully deliver our third Gateway of the year.

“Yet again, the appetite for this kind of connectivity surpassed our expectations and we are very grateful to the many speakers, delegates and supporters who helped us to deliver this international event for the seventh consecutive year.”

The 2020 Gateway series will continue with the Aberdeen-Abu Dhabi/UAE Gateway on November 10th and 11th.
