The firm is recruiting graduates to work across its Land, Commercial, Technical and Sales functions within its regional head office based in Aberdeen.

The 12-month programme will provide candidates with comprehensive induction and training which will equip them with the necessary skills to embark on an aspiring career path within the dynamic and varied housebuilding sector.

Commenting on the new graduate recruitment programme, Mike Naymsith, Regional Managing Director for CALA North, said: “CALA has undergone a period of tremendous growth over the last few years, particularly in the North. This has led to many new employment opportunities across the business and as such we are recruiting for exceptional, results driven graduates to join a range of functions.

“Few industries are as varied as housebuilding – every site has its own different challenges; every house has individual design attributes and every customer their own needs. As a result, every day is different, making house building quite unique in the challenges and opportunities it presents to people.

“As an industry we need to do more to encourage new talent so that we can support a sustained increase in housing supply. As the UK’s most upmarket major homebuilder, attracting the right individuals is key to us achieving our ambitious growth plans and graduate programmes such as the one we’ve just launched, play a pivotal role in providing the skilled workforce needed to continue to reinvigorate and grow the housebuilding sector.”

Graduate Ben Towers joined CALA in 2014 and is now a Graduate Technician. He said: “It was the architecture and design element of housebuilding that really appealed to me and the fact that it’s a secure industry that offers great career opportunities.

“CALA has provided training and development and has been extremely helpful and supportive. I feel like I’m learning from the best.”
