Following on from the charity’s hugely successful inaugural Boozy Bridgerton Brunch in March this year, which raised over £24,000, the children’s charity wanted to continue with themed brunches to raise awareness of the work they do.
Marketing and Communications Manager, Emily Findlay, said: “We were so proud of our Boozy Bridgerton Brunch event in March, it was really well received and everyone who attended had a fantastic time.
“Our Boozy Barbie Brunch is set to be even better, with lots of surprises up our sleeves! We can’t wait! We really hope groups of colleagues, friends, and family will gather together to come along and support local children growing up in challenging life circumstances.”
Tickets cost £50 with tables of 12 costing £600. Ticket price includes a two-course brunch and welcome drink.
The Aberdeen-based charity helps over 250 children annually, matching them with trained volunteer befrienders and mentors who provide friendship, stability, and fun.
Befriend a Child relies completely on support from the local community and grants to ensure they can continue providing their vital services.
The charity’s waitlist for its services is ever-growing within the charity’s 1:1 befriending programme for local children who are growing up in challenging home lives, experiencing abuse and neglect, low self-esteem and poor mental health.
