CHAP (Holdings) Limited, the parent company of the Westhill-based CHAP Group, has reported its strongest-ever financial performance, highlighting continued momentum and readiness for the next phase of its long-term expansion strategy.

For the financial year ending 30 September 2025, the Group achieved record turnover of £65.8 million, up from £57.7 million in 2024, with operating profit before fair value movements rising to £1.1 million (2024: £0.7 million). Gross profit increased to £9.3 million (2024: £6.6 million), while cash reserves also strengthened to £3.9 million.

Average employee numbers grew from 162 to 183, reflecting CHAP’s continued investment in people and operational capacity.

Now marking the halfway point in its 10-year growth plan, CHAP reports that it remains firmly on track to achieve its long-term objectives. The business has invested significantly in strengthening its workforce, project capabilities, and strategic presence across Scotland.

Managing Director Hugh Craigie commented: “We are pleased to report another record year for turnover, alongside a stronger underlying operating performance. These results reflect the expertise of our people, the quality of our delivery, and the strength of our forward workload.

As we enter the second half of our 10-year growth strategy, we are investing in the systems, talent, and capacity required to support sustainable growth, strengthening our presence across Scotland, including a renewed focus in Edinburgh.”

During the year, CHAP completed several major projects and maintained strong performance across its operating regions, including the Northeast and Tayside, while advancing plans for expansion in Edinburgh.

A notable milestone was the acquisition of A&A Holdings Limited and its subsidiary A & A Civils Limited in October 2024. The integration has progressed well, with the newly merged civil engineering operations now fully embedded within CHAP Group, delivering efficiency gains and enhancing service delivery.

New Headquarters and 50-Year Milestone

To accommodate its growing workforce and operational requirements, CHAP relocated to larger offices in late 2025, providing the infrastructure needed to support the next stage of the Group’s development.

February 2026 also marks a major milestone – 50 years in business – for CHAP. Since its founding in 1976, the company has become one of Scotland’s leading privately owned construction firms, recognised for its commitment to quality, client service, and delivery excellence.

The Group enters 2026 with a strong order book, favourable market conditions, and clear strategic direction. Directors report confidence in a positive outlook for the year ahead, underpinned by a strong team, sound financial foundations, and ongoing focus on health, safety, and operational performance.

Finance Director Shona Gee added that the results “reinforce the Group’s financial resilience and readiness for sustainable future growth.”
