Aberdeenshire pipeline engineering company STATS Group (STATS) last year contributed more than £20,000 to local charities.

Senior leaders at the Kintore-based firm, led by CEO Stephen Rawlinson, supported a long-running commitment to good causes by taking part in the recent 2026 CEO Sleepout at Aberdeen FC’s Pittodrie Stadium.

He was joined by Bryher Rush, Derek Smart, Ross Wallace and Steven Byers  in spending a night in the open which boosted STATS’ support for deserving charities.

The company’s chosen charity for 2025, Aberdeen Mountain Rescue Team and other charities benefited from £8,150 through fundraising while a further £12,500 was allocated to a diverse range of worthy causes from STATS’ charity committee budget.

Those included local schools and sports groups such as Kintore FC, Midmill Primary,

Kellands Primary, and health related charities Aberdeen Neonatal, Business Beat’s Cancer Gala Dinner, Mental Health Aberdeen, Grampian MS Therapy Centre and CLAN.

Other beneficiaries included homeless charity Cyrenians, Cash for Kids, Combat Stress for Veterans Mental Health and Hungry for the Needs of the Homeless.

Staff volunteers also provided 86.5 hours of support to a number of difference causes including Cash for Kids Mission Christmas, AMRT Hill Walk and Forget Me Not Garden tidy up and a team of female staff took part in the Beast Race for Friends of Anchor, with others pushing their way through a push-ups challenge for Suicide Prevention.

STATS’ chosen charity for 2026-27 is Friends of ANCHOR which provides cancer and haematology care across the north of Scotland.

Emma Thom, Chairperson of STATS Group’s Charity Committee, said: “With a 25 year plus history in the north east of Scotland, we are committed to helping good causes and are delighted that the efforts of our staff are supporting such a diverse range of charities, well-meaning individuals and local sports organisations.

“In 2026 we have replaced the amazing Aberdeen Mountain Rescue Team as our chosen charity with the equally wonderful Friends of ANCHOR and we look forward to working with them to raise funds and awareness.”

STATS Group provides specialist engineering services to the oil, gas, petrochemical and infrastructure sectors, employing more than 500 staff globally, including more than 170 at its headquarters in Kintore near Inverurie.
