Fundraisers enjoyed a ‘total eclipse’ of fun as they danced the night away at the 2024 Moonlight Ball at the Drumossie Hotel in Inverness.
The event raised £104,000 for the local children’s charity, The Archie Foundation, helping to deliver vital support and services to babies, children, and families across the Highlands.
The annual event, which was held on Friday night (November 1), is organised by Mary Nimmo and Jacqueline Brown of Munro & Noble Solicitors and Estate Agents.
Sponsored by GEG Capital and Barclay & Daughters, the ball, now in its sixth year, has raised more than £250,000 for The Archie Foundation.
More than 180 attendees graced the dance floor on Friday, enjoying live music from Ness Factor 2023 winner Joanne Ross, Wee James and Willie Campbell and the Tumbling Souls, with Archie patron Kenny Smith hosting the evening.
Funds were raised through ticket sales, a heads and tails game, and both a live and silent auction.
Zoe Grant, The Archie Foundation’s fundraising officer in the Highlands, expressed that the funds raised would greatly impact the charity.
“We’re incredibly thankful to Mary, Jacqueline, and everyone who attended the 2024 Moonlight Ball” she said.
“All proceeds from the event will go directly towards supporting the Highland Children’s Unit at Raigmore Hospital and other areas across the Highlands and Islands. This funding enables us to provide essential emotional and financial support to babies, children, and their families during their most challenging times.”

Archie has helped children and families across the north of Scotland for 24 years, funding specialist roles and projects at Royal Aberdeen Children’s Hospital and, more recently, at Highland Children’s Unit, Tayside Children’s Hospital and Dr Gray’s Hospital, Elgin.
