ABERDEEN charity Charlie House has recognised global energy company CNOOC International for its support of their Big Build Appeal by awarding them gold level status within their dedicated Big Build Patron Programme.
CNOOC International has supported Charlie House since 2018, providing funding for a dedicated volunteer project, community services, and family activities. The donations, which total £91,000, included £35,000 towards the charity’s Big Build Appeal.

The appeal aims to raise £8million to build a specialist support facility on the grounds of Woodend Hospital in Aberdeen. The 8-bedroom, purpose-built facility will offer parents and carers the chance to recharge their batteries, safe in the knowledge that their child will be in the care of specially trained staff.
Susan Crighton, Director of Fundraising at Charlie House, said: “We are extremely grateful to CNOOC International for their ongoing support, which helps make it possible for us to continue providing activities and services to families.”
She continued: “Their significant contribution to the Big Build Appeal takes us closer to our dream of delivering the Charlie House specialist support centre.”
