Cinderella is set to enchant audiences at His Majesty’s Theatre this Christmas, with Aberdeen Performing Arts and Crossroads Pantomimes giving away 300 free tickets to local charities.

The production, running from Saturday 29 November to Sunday 4 January, promises all the classic panto ingredients – laugh-out-loud comedy, stunning scenery, fabulous costumes and plenty of festive sparkle. Charities are invited to apply via the Aberdeen Performing Arts website for free tickets to the 7pm performance on Tuesday 2 December, with applications closing on Thursday 2 October.

Sharon Burgess, Chief Executive of Aberdeen Performing Arts, said:
“Panto is a truly magical time of year at His Majesty’s Theatre, whether it’s a chance to share in a much-loved family tradition, have fun with friends or make special memories together. We want to share that joy and festive cheer with as many people as possible, and so we are once again extending an invite to charities to enable those who might not otherwise get to visit the theatre at Christmas to come along and enjoy Cinderella.”

This year’s star-studded line-up sees Scottish acting favourite and Strictly champion Joe McFadden step into the role of Prince Charming, alongside Shetland and Monarch of the Glen star Dawn Steele as the Fairy Godmother. They will be joined by panto legend Alan McHugh, who also directs the show, returning as Baroness Heifer McHardup. Paul J Corrigan makes a much-anticipated return as Buttons, while Danielle Jam leads the cast in the title role. Julie Coombe and Helen Logan will bring mischief to the stage as the Wicked Sisters.

Produced by Crossroads Pantomimes, the world’s largest pantomime producer, and led by Michael Harrison, Cinderella at His Majesty’s Theatre promises an abundance of laughter, dazzling sets, glittering costumes and a few surprises along the way – making it a true festive highlight for Aberdeen audiences.
