Jamie Hutcheon founded Cocoa Ooze in 2008, aged just 17, to fulfil his dream of becoming a professional chocolatier. In December 2016, Jamie appeared on the hit TV show Dragon’s Den and secured a £70,000 investment from leading retailer Touker Suleyman to help develop his manufacturing facilities.

He has also been shortlisted for numerous awards in recent years including winning the Young Talent Award at the 2015 Scotland Food and Drink Excellence Awards.

Based in Aberdeen, Cocoa Ooze is a luxury handmade chocolate business producing chocolates and speciality chocolate products. It runs a coffee shop in the city centre, chocolate manufacturing facilities, corporate and wholesale supply and online distribution as well as catering for parties and chocolate-making workshops for adults, children and school groups.

Jai Aenugu, managing director at The TechForce, said: “With everything that Jamie has already achieved in business, the evening will provide an incredible insight into how he got to where he is today and what still lies in store for the future.

“We’ve received a tremendous response to this event which speaks volumes of the high regard that Jamie is held in by other local entrepreneurs.”

The Meet the Entrepreneur event will be held at Barclays Bank, Union Plaza on Wednesday, April 26 from 6:30pm to 9pm. It is supported by main sponsor Barclays along with Precise Communications and SBNN.
