REOPENING and staying open safely in the hospitality and events sectors will be the focus of an online event which will take place this week.

Aberdeen-based Granite PR’s growing portfolio of digital events will take yet another stride forward on September 2nd thanks to a collaborative effort with Glasgow-based InSite Group which will build on the success of a previous webinar held last year.

This time, the focus will be on InSite Group’s Eventcair biosecurity system which provides continuous air and surface protection against 99.99% of viruses, including Covid-19, and bacteria as well as other dangerous pathogens, toxins and microbes.  The system is ideally suited to the evolving needs of event environments such as concerts, weddings, conferences, exhibitions and sporting events.

The system was recently in action at OnTrade Scotland in Glasgow’s Double Tree by Hilton on Cambridge Street.  The event was the biggest indoor gathering to take place since the relaxation of Covid-19 restrictions in Scotland and, as a result of the system being implemented, the event resulted in zero cases of Covid-19 being reported or recorded that were connected to the Event.

As well as hearing from InSite Group representatives, the 10.30am to 12noon session will draw on the thoughts and experiences of business operators on how they have squared up to the challenges of reopening – and the solutions they are deploying to help them stay open.

Commenting on plans for the seminar, Granite PR Managing Director Brett Jackson said: “Tough operating conditions continue to add to the many challenges faced by business right now, so it is important that we can come together and share experiences and knowledge in this safe and accessible way.

“Looking for solutions among the challenges is important for all of us just now, particularly as we try to sustain our businesses during turbulent operating conditions, and that is often best achieved collectively.

“Our events are renowned for creating opportunities for learning and discussion, and we hope that this seminar will facilitate a collaborative approach in seeking out solutions for a sector we have been closely associated with throughout Granite PR’s history.”

Gerry Campbell of InSite Group added: “By bringing together some of well-known names in the Scottish event industry, this event will provide a valuable platform for learning at a time when the industry needs a proactive, solutions-based approach to the pace of change.”
