A total of up to £60,000 is on offer with Aberdeen City Council making £40,000 available through Community Planning Aberdeen and £20,000 through the Fairer Aberdeen Fund.

Aberdeen City Council Co-Leader Councillor Christian Allard, Chair of Community Planning Aberdeen, said: “Participatory Budgeting encourages community empowerment as it allows local people to decide how public money is spent in their communities.

“UDECIDE enables local communities to choose the projects that best meet their community needs, which is why I would encourage everyone in our priority neighbourhoods to get involved in the process.”

The Priority Neighbourhoods are:

  • North – Northfield, Mastrick, Heathryfold, Cummings Park, Middlefield
  • South – Torry, Kincorth
  • Central – Tillydrone, Woodside, Seaton, Ashgrove, Stockethill, George Street

Applications open on Monday 13 January 2025.  To receive an application form or for more information, please contact: [email protected]. Completed applications must be received by 1pm on Monday 3 February 2025.

Details on how the public can vote online and in-person will be announced in February 2025.

Proposals should relate to one or more of the priority outcomes and community ideas detailed within the locality plans. There are three locality plans, one for North, South and Central, which underpin Aberdeen’s Local Outcome Improvement Plan (LOIP).
