OEUK’s Data and Digital conference on Tuesday 7 October at Aberdeen’s Union Kirk has a wide-ranging programme covering aspects of digitalisation from emission analysis platforms to lessons learnt from the biotech industry.

The full-day conference sponsored by the Net Zero Technology Centre kicks off with a keynote address by Russell Dalgleish from the Scottish Business Network and includes sessions on digital adoption, AI opportunities and cross-sector insights from industries including biotech, nuclear and motorsport.

Graeme Booth, Head of Digital and Data at Net Zero Technology Centre, said:

“This conference is a chance to cut through the noise and focus on what’s actually working in digital. We’ll be hearing from people who are applying data and technology to solve real problems—whether that’s reducing emissions, improving efficiency or managing costs.

The real opportunity lies in bringing these solutions together and learning from other sectors. Events like this help us connect ideas, people and technologies across the sector, so we can build smarter systems, make better use of data, and shape a more agile, collaborative energy future.”

Laure Mora, Business Transformation & Growth Manager at Offshore Energies UK, commented:

“Our programme features a diverse mix of contributors from technical specialists to digital adopters across the offshore energy sector and beyond. We will hear from top computing science students who embody tomorrow’s talent and attendees are encouraged to participate in our interactive panel sessions. In the closing session, there will be an opportunity to discover our Wild Card, a digital tool that can be implemented to tackle project costs right from the start. Attendees will leave refreshed, full of practical ideas and new connections with digital experts and industry peers that will help their businesses thrive in a digital era.”

The conference includes sessions on the following themes:

  • Unlocking the power of quality data – How curated data sets provide the gateway to meaningful digitalisation
  • Handling change – Educating stakeholders to embrace digital tools
  • An interactive panel session – What’s hype and what’s real?
  • Artificial intelligence opportunities
  • Cross-sector learning: Digital insights from other industries

Attendees will have opportunities to network throughout the event, and the focus will be on fostering collaboration and knowledge-sharing among industry professionals in different sectors.

The event will close with a drinks reception. To book a place at the conference, visit  https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/oeuk-data-and-digital-conference-tickets-1249222591399?aff=oddtdtcreator
