CHAP Group today announced two senior promotions that underscore the company’s momentum and ongoing investment in regional leadership as the business continues to grow in scale and deliver record turnovers.

Paul Matthew, who joined CHAP in 2023 as Area Construction Director for Tayside, has been promoted to Divisional Director, re ecting the strong performance and growing footprint of CHAP’s Tayside operations. Under Paul’s leadership, the Tayside o ice is now well established, with recent project successes including Broughty Ferry Care Home, the Dundee Museum of Transport, and the completion of Stanley Studios Phases 1 & 2, The Gibson Trust Care Home in St Andrews, and Kythe Distillery. In his new role, Paul will be responsible for driving business performance, client relationships, and operational delivery across the Tayside region.

Malcolm Thomson, who joined CHAP in 2021 as a Senior Contracts Manager and was promoted to Operations Manager in 2024, has been appointed Construction Director in Aberdeen. Malcolm’s recent experience includes renovation works at the Marcli e Hotel, delivering the new Skylark brasserie in the former courtyard, upgraded kitchens, and refurbished bedrooms. He is currently leading the Queen Street project on behalf of Aberdeen City Council and hub North Scotland, alongside two key worker legacy housing projects for Hillcrest and SSEN. He will take a leading management role, responsible for the delivery of construction projects in the Aberdeen region.
