THE COUNTDOWN is on as Aberdeen’s Highland Games returns to Hazlehead Park this Sunday (18th June 2023).
The Aberdeen Highland Games will take place from 10am to 5:30pm and is set to be a day of fun-filled activities that the whole family can enjoy.

The programme will include traditional Scottish Highland Games competitions such as Highland Dancing and Tug ‘o’ War, as well as a selection of food and drink from local producers, and quality trade and charity stalls.
Free activities will also be on offer throughout the day, including a climbing wall, facepainting, crazy golf and obstacle courses.
Those attending can also enjoy stage entertainment from professional performers, including Artie from the Singing Kettle.
The Bancon Homes Charity Mascot Challenge will be returning, with 8 mascots competing through a set of challenges in order to be crowned the champion and win money for their nominated charity.
Four-legged friends are also welcome to attend the Games, with the return of the popular dog activity zone.
The Lord Provost of Aberdeen, Dr David Cameron, will officially open the Games.
The Lord Provost said: “The Highland Games is a firm staple of summer events in the city and is an event that we look forward to every year.
“There are so many fantastic activities taking place throughout the day that all ages can enjoy and we hope that both regular and new attendees will again be out in force for what promises to be another fantastic day for Aberdeen.”
