Duncan Peace, Crondall Energy’s Group Managing Director said: “This is an exciting time for the business as we look to capitalise on significant growth opportunities globally. Both Richard and Paul bring a wealth of experience with them and we are looking forward to working with them both.

“Richard’s guidance and insight will play an important role in shaping our Group’s strategy while Paul’s leadership of our Houston office is a critical part of our growth activity in North and South America.”

Richard is a Chartered Civil Engineer and has more than 40 years’ experience of the offshore oil and gas industry.

A Fellow and Council member of the Society for Underwater Technology, he has worked on a variety of projects from fixed platforms to subsea developments and floating production systems. In this time, he has worked for engineering consultants, contractors and oil companies including several years spent working in the USA, Norway and Brazil.

Most recently, he was Senior Vice President of INTECSEA, part of the WorleyParsons Group, responsible for the Europe and Africa region.

Richard said: “I have closely followed Crondall Energy’s progress over the years and am delighted to now be joining this highly respected team. There are clear signs that activity in both the FPSO and subsea sectors is on the upturn and I look forward to working with the board to make the most of these opportunities.”

Paul is a professional engineer and project management professional with more than 30 years’ experience in upstream oil and gas, across a wide range of frontier project developments from stranded gas fields to deepwater pipelines.  He has held strategic roles including business development, project management, engineering, investment and partner development serving global operators and service companies including Conoco, INTEC and Schlumberger with assignments in Norway, Russia, Trinidad and South East Asia.

He added: “The Houston market is becoming increasingly active and our team is already involved in a number of interesting and technically challenging projects. We will be working closely with operators here to identify further ways we can support them to develop and produce fields in the most efficient and effective way possible, with a focus on minimal manning solutions.”

The double appointment follows a recent partial Management Buy Out of Crondall Energy that saw the company restructure. Anna-Louise Peters moved from Finance Director to Managing Director of Crondall Energy’s consultancy division while Duncan Peace moved from Managing Director to Group Managing Director.
