Data science company strengthens team to support emissions reduction solutions

ABERDEEN-based data science and predictive analysis firm, Opex Group has made three senior appointments to bolster the firm’s continued investment in emissions reduction solutions.

Following OPEX’s release of emissions AI, a cloud-based AI-driven software application for the oil, gas and energy industry, the firm has hired Alison Taylor as emissions reduction lead.

Alison Taylor joins, following a career spanning 25 years in environmental roles.  She will work closely with Colin Deddis as process engineering lead. Colin brings 30 years of oil and gas experience and together they will help to support the company’s developments and customer implementations.

Euan Bathgate steps up to chief product officer (CPO) with the new role combining his technical background, appreciation of customer requirements, together with a number of years working with AI and digital solutions.

Jamie Bennett, OPEX Group chief executive officer, said: “Most operating companies are targeting to reduce their operational emissions with immediate effect.
