ABERDEENSHIRE-based business owner and investor Thor Holt has sold a majority holding of his CareerGoldminer.com business to Mike Watson of MWA Digital for an undisclosed sum.

The investment will see Mike take control of driving the business forward.

The website currently offers an easy-to-use free download to help job seekers to find work and to help people develop their CV and interview skills.

Mike said: “We have had good success with the video course and download, which Thor created, and see the potential for delivering simple yet effective video training for other aspects of career development.”

Thor added: “CareerGoldminer.com has served hundreds of job seekers really well through a difficult year, but I’m not in a position to drive it forward and serve as many people in need as Mike is.

“He’s the right person to develop this business to the next level and serve what is I’m afraid, a rapidly expanding job seeking population, with unemployment set to spike after furlough ends in April.”

Thor is now an investor in several companies including one soon to be on BBC’s Dragon’s Den.
