Sessions focusing on these sectors will be chaired by Zero Waste Scotland and the Nuclear Decommissioning Authority, whilst discussion on the future of oil and gas decommissioning will be led by Decom North Sea interim managing director and industry market expert, Will Rowley.
Will said: “Decom Future is an expert-led, interactive event, which will examine upcoming decommissioning developments.
“The agenda has been created specifically to raise some detailed, and perhaps difficult, questions on where the sector is headed, and address how businesses can take a pragmatic approach to challenges – and indeed, cross-sector opportunities – to come.”
Decom North Sea has also announced the appointment of Anthony Fievez, commercial manager of Heerema Marine Contractors (HMC), to its board of directors.
Jinda Nelson, Decom North Sea chair, said: “We are delighted to welcome Anthony to our board of directors, where his in-depth knowledge – together with an array of high-profile decommissioning project experience and a passion for supply chain-driven innovation – wholly reflect the ongoing objective to create a sustainable decommissioning sector.
“Through his role with HMC, he not only brings an invaluable level of future project insight to the organisation, but also a wealth of industry know-how and an exceptional network.”
