Decom North Sea has today {Tuesday 1 May} announced its’ finalists for the first industry awards dedicated to decommissioning.
Hosted by the organisation the evening prior to the annual Decom Offshore Conference, the awards aim to shine a spotlight on the efforts of Decom North Sea members to innovate, collaborate and contribute within the sector.

Among the finalists, BiSN and Power Towers are in the running to win the Outstanding Innovation Award, while NS Decom (NorSea Group (UK) Ltd and Scotoil Services), PDi Ltd and Veolia-Peterson will contest the Excellence in Collaboration category.
The winners will be announced at an awards ceremony and dinner in Aberdeen on May 22, hosted by STV North news anchor, Andrea Brymer.
Decom North Sea’s interim Chief Executive, Tom Leeson, said: “As the only membership organisation dedicated to decommissioning, it is a pleasure to highlight the pioneering work performed in the sector through the first Decom North Sea Awards. The quality of the award entries we received is testament to this, with some fantastic examples of true innovation and hard work.
“For Decom North Sea, these awards are a brilliant way to transfer our learnings within the sector across the global oil and gas industry, as well as celebrating the efforts of our members. I would like to congratulate all those who have been shortlisted for the 2018 awards, and we look forward to celebrating the winners at the ceremony later this month.”
