WELL construction cementing specialists DeltaTek, now part of energy services provider Expro, has announced success at the 2023 Offshore Achievement Awards, with Tristam Horn winning the Young Professional award.

Now in their 36th year, the Offshore Achievement Awards (OAA) are the longest-running oil, gas, and renewable energy industry awards for the UK offshore sector. Organised and hosted by the Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE), they showcase outstanding industry achievements, innovation and collaboration.

DeltaTek was a finalist in three categories: the Innovator award, in recognition of DeltaTek’s pioneering Rapid Cement Hydration solution; the Exceptional Impact Company – SME award, which celebrates companies delivering excellence across the sector; and the Young Professional award, which recognises the impressive industry contribution of DeltaTek’s Founder, Tristam Horn.

Commenting on their awards success, Tristam said: “Since launching DeltaTek in 2015, we have continued to go from strength to strength within the drilling market, so I am honoured that our contribution to the industry has been recognised by SPE and the OAA’s judging panel.

“I am incredibly proud of the work our team has done to achieve this success and I am delighted our hard work and commitment to continued industry advancement has been celebrated in this way.”

Expro’s Chief Operating Officer Alistair Geddes said: “We are delighted that Tristam and the DeltaTek team have been recognised through these awards, which are testament to the innovation, drive and impact that this business continues to have in the market. DeltaTek’s strengths, technologies and ambitions are a tremendous fit with Expro and we are pleased to have welcomed them into the Expro family.”

Expro announced the acquisition of DeltaTek last month. The acquisition allows Expro to broaden its offering, capabilities, and technology portfolio within the well construction cementing sector, while accelerating DeltaTek’s international deployment ambitions through Expro’s global footprint.
