MORE than 14% of all jobs in Scotland pay less than the real Living Wage – around 330,000 jobs. Despite this, sales enablement partner Doqaru has committed to paying the real Living Wage and delivering a fair day’s pay for a hard day’s work.
The real Living Wage is the only UK wage rate calculated according to living costs. Employers choose to pay the real Living Wage voluntarily, recognising the value of their workers and ensuring that a hard day’s work receives fair pay.
Doqaru co-founder and director Yekemi Otaru commented: “Being accredited shows our commitment to paying our staff a fair wage for their work at Doqaru. We also have greater opportunities to be selected by suppliers that want to work with businesses that share this value. For instance, Doqaru will be included in the Employer Map and in the Business Directory accessible by other Living Wage Employers.”

Alongside becoming accredited, Doqaru has also been nominated for two awards. The first,Small Business Entrepreneur of the Year category at the 2022 Great British Entrepreneur Awards for the Scotland & Northern Ireland region and the second, Social Entrepreneur of the year at The 4th Scottish Women’s Awards 2022.
