INDEPENDENT advisory firm Dow Schofield Watts has expanded its Corporate Finance team in Aberdeen with the appointment of Ross Irvine as Assistant Manager.

Ross, who previously worked in the audit team at PwC, has six years’ experience in finance. Having started his career at Henderson Loggie, he was one of the first Scottish students to qualify as a Chartered Accountant through the apprenticeship scheme.

Dow Schofield Watts’ Aberdeen office was established in September 2019 by Tom Faichnie and Melanie Clark, who were then joined by Bridget Erekaife as Assistant Manager. The firm, which also has offices in Manchester, Leeds, London and Reading, was recently named one of the UK’s top 15 most active corporate finance advisers.

Tom Faichnie, who leads the team in Aberdeen, says: “We are pleased to welcome Ross to our growing team. He will provide an additional resource to help us take advantage of the post-Covid upturn and the new opportunities we are seeing, not just  in Scotland but throughout the UK and internationally. Dow Schofield Watts is already established as a leading mid-market advisory firm in Scotland and we are continuing to invest in our team and build our presence in line with our longer-term ambitions.”
