Downhole Products Appoints Vice President

Casing accessory and completion tool company Downhole Products has announced the appointment of a new vice president.

Since joining the company in 2001, Mark Dundee has worked in a number of roles including warehouse operative, technical sales engineer, manufacturing manager and, most recently, global operations manager.

In the newly-created role of vice president, Mark will offer direct support to president/managing director Ian Kirk as the company positions itself for further growth throughout 2015 and beyond.

Commenting on his appointment, Mark Dundee said: “I have already spent 14 very enjoyable years with Downhole Products, and I am both thrilled at my new appointment and looking forward to the challenges ahead.

“During my career with the company to date, I have gained invaluable experience which will stand me in good stead in my new role. I look forward to working with and supporting our fantastic global team.”

Ian Kirk added: “Mark’s diverse technical and commercial skill set allows him to offer substantial support to all aspects of our global business, including product development, manufacturing and sales. We wish Mark every success in his new role.”

Established in 1994, Downhole Products is a world market leading in the design, manufacture and supply of casing accessories and completion tools such as centralisers, reamer guide shoes and cable clamp protectors. The company’s headquarters are at Portlethen near Aberdeen and it operates bases in Australia, the Middle East, Asia and USA.

The company recently announced the $5 million creation of a 200,000 sq. ft. manufacturing facility in Dammam, Saudi Arabia in partnership with Energy Projects Support Company (ENPRO), leading to the creation of 25 new jobs within the two organisations.

Downhole Products will be exhibiting at the SPE/IADC Drilling Conference & Exhibition at London’s ExCel from March 17th to 19th. The company will be located on stand 1212 with Varel International.
