Ellon-headquartered financial advisory firm Phil Anderson Financial Services has announced its support for the BookBench Trail 2025, a high-profile public art event delivered by Clan Cancer Support in collaboration with Wild in Art.
The independent financial advisory firm will be sponsoring one of the trail’s 41 iconic sculptures and has also been named the official t-shirt sponsor for the campaign, which will see a series of open-book shaped benches placed throughout communities across the north-east, Moray, Orkney and Shetland from July to September 2025.
The trail, backed by headline sponsors Hellmann Worldwide Logistics and Bilfinger, aims to increase visibility of Clan’s services and encourage dialogue around cancer support, wellbeing, and storytelling. Each sculpture has been designed by a leading UK artist and symbolises Clan’s lifeline listening service — a key aspect of the charity’s cancer support programme.
“As a business that has always prioritised community engagement, we’re delighted to bring the BookBench Trail to Ellon following the success of the Big Hop Trail two years ago,” said Phil Anderson, Managing Director of Phil Anderson Financial Services. “We’re proud to sponsor a bench and to support the trail as t-shirt sponsor — it’s a meaningful way to combine our corporate social responsibility with a campaign that touches so many lives.”
At the end of the trail, each BookBench will be auctioned to raise funds for Clan Cancer Support, helping the organisation expand its reach and continue to provide free emotional and practical support to individuals and families affected by cancer.
In Case You Missed it:
The sponsorship aligns with Phil Anderson Financial Services’ longstanding commitment to community initiatives and charitable causes across the north of Scotland, reinforcing its reputation not just as a trusted financial planning partner, but also as a socially responsible local business.
