Representatives from a range of businesses, including CHAP, Robertsons, Vital Energi and Balfour Beatty will be on hand to offer 1-2-1 support and small group workshops, and attendees will get the opportunity to learn about the varying roles within the sectors.

Guests will also hear from people working at different levels across the industries, from apprentices to industry professionals, about their experiences and how they have progressed in their careers.

The ABZWorks Employability Support Fair is for people of all ages and will provide an exciting introduction to the sectors and roles available in them.

Several of the companies are hiring, and attendees are encouraged to bring their CVs along to apply for opportunities such as apprenticeships, graduate positions, administrative roles, and entry level positions.

Aberdeen City Council Co-Leader Councillor Alex Nicoll said: “Providing opportunities for people who are looking to gain invaluable skills and support that will help them in their future careers is a fantastic way to help the local economy and get more people into employment.

“The skills that those attending will have gained today will be instrumental in achieving roles and they will be able to take these forward and apply them in the future.”

The ABZWorks employability keyworkers will also be on hand to provide support and advice to anyone who needs it and to provide information about training opportunities available.

Some jobs will be promoted during the event and attendees are invited to bring their CVs.

The fair will run from 10am to 2pm. Entry is via the Town House door on Broad Street. For more information or employability support contact ABZWorks on 01224 346100.
