THE BOSS of Veri Energy has unveiled his ambitions to forge the path to net zero.

Salman Malik says oil and gas electrification, carbon capture and storage and hydrogen are just three of the things on his “to do list”.

But the Veri Energy chief executive expects them to require significant public and private sector backing.

Veri, which focusses entirely on green projects, was launched by North Sea EnQuest last year.

But despite being employed by an oil and gas producer, Mr Malik is remains enthusiastic, ambitious and determined to achieve the “dream” of net zero.
