Aberdeen-headquartered Enpro Subsea has won the Innovation Award at the Press and Journal Gold Awards 2017.
The subsea intervention specialist company was recognised for its patented flow access module (FAM) technology which was a contributing factor to a major operator in the Gulf of Mexico achieving first oil in just 11 months – a record time for the operating company and one month ahead of schedule.
The judges also heard how the company’s in-house team of production optimisation experts are supporting early adopters of its FAM systems in West Africa, which was brought to market just 18 months ago.
The P&J Gold Awards black-tie event is considered a key highlight in the social calendar for celebrating leading companies and influencers in the energy industry. Now in its third year, the evening was hosted by BBC breakfast reporter and TV presenter Steph McGovern for the second time and saw around 280 people in attendance.

This is the company’s third accolade in 2017. Enpro managing director, Ian Donald, was recognised at this year’s Subsea UK Awards for his outstanding contribution to the sector, and the business also collected the Great Small Company Award at the Offshore Achievement Awards in March.
