Aberdeen-based business Greenwell Equipment is marking a significant staff milestone, celebrating a decade of service from long-standing team member Alan Western.

Alan joined Greenwell in 2015 as a sales executive and has steadily progressed to his current role as sales manager, earning a strong reputation for his extensive product knowledge, customer care, and reliability.

While his main area of expertise lies in the pallet racking and shelving division, Alan’s knowledge spans all four of Greenwell’s core business areas, including office furniture, cabins, and containers.

A proud Aberdonian and lifelong Aberdeen FC supporter, Alan is well known within the company not only for his professional contributions but also for his passion for the local community and his personable, down-to-earth nature.

“Alan embodies everything we value at Greenwell – loyalty, trust and a real commitment to doing right by our customers,” said Managing Director Mark Turnbull. “He’s been a huge part of our success over the past ten years and continues to play a vital role in driving the business forward.”

Alan’s contribution goes beyond sales; he plays a key part in mentoring colleagues and supporting the next generation of staff, reflecting Greenwell’s wider ethos of investing in people and fostering a culture of continuous development.

As Greenwell continues to grow across the North-east and beyond, long-serving team members like Alan Western represent the foundations on which the company is built.

“It’s been an amazing journey so far,” Alan said. “I’m proud to be part of a business that values its people and takes the time to celebrate achievements. I look forward to the next chapter.”
