ESS OFFSHORE & Remote – the leading food and support services provider to the offshore sector raised awareness of the high level of local Aberdeenshire suppliers’ products incorporated within its menus for both on and offshore workers at a recent event at its client Premier Oil’s office.

Four years ago, ESS tasked themselves with doing more to support local suppliers and introduce some of the great range of quality produce that’s available locally. Today it’s served to both clients based in the North Sea and to oil and gas-related onshore client’s offices forming an integral part of the core ESS food offer.

ESS Offshore & Remote nutritionist, Leanne King, provided information about the company’s award-winning bespoke health and wellbeing programme, and event attendees had the chance to make a bike-powered smoothie to highlight the amount of energy required to make a drink.

Ronnie Kelman, business director at ESS Offshore & Remote, said: “It is so important to highlight the great partnerships we enjoy with local suppliers to our clients. Their employees are the ones who consume our suppliers’ products, and this was a great opportunity for them to ‘meet the makers’.

“Our region has an abundance of excellent local produce, which helps us to form our balanced menus. I’m delighted we had the opportunity to showcase some of our local suppliers to Premier Oil.”
