Aberdeen Young Professionals (AYP) – now in its ninth year – will hold a ‘Meet the Mentors’ social gathering next month, kick-starting their 2018/19 events and mentoring programme.
The free event, which will take place on Thursday, 13 September, will be an opportunity for new and existing AYP members to network with likeminded professionals from a variety of industries and backgrounds and to meet some of the current mentors from the AYP mentoring scheme.
Ross Jolly, Founder of AYP, said: “Our mentoring scheme has been a resounding success with an extremely strong calibre of mentors, and so this latest event will be an opportunity for people to get a feel for the benefits that the scheme brings.
“We are excited about the great calendar of events we have planned for 2018/19, including a career clinic, which I am sure will result in some meaningful debates for those thinking about their next challenge.”
The AYP mentoring scheme was launched in 2016 with the aim of connecting young professionals with an established mentor who brings specific skills to the scheme. It is open to individuals of all ages and backgrounds looking for career advice and direction. Potential mentees include those looking at a career change, individuals aiming to progress to the next level or those looking to develop a specific skill set.
AYP’s event will be held at Aberdeen’s Revoluciόn de Cuba from 6pm. To register your interest sign up here
