With the price of oil hitting a near four-year high, the North Sea has an exciting and prosperous outlook for 2019 and beyond with an increase in activity expected in the oil and gas sector. In Norway alone, Equinor are aiming to drill between 20 to 30 wells every year for the foreseeable future. We are also seeing many businesses diversifying from the oil and gas sector into the fast-growing renewable energy industry within the North Sea.
With this in mind, UK companies operating in the North Sea, or considering entering North Sea markets for the first time, should ensure their overseas activities are properly planned for and managed. The optimism and outlook for the North Sea provides an opportunity to proactively and efficiently ensure the activities are structured and costed appropriately, and any risks are minimised.

Anderson Anderson & Brown’s (AAB) specialist training course “Key North Sea Tax Considerations” is aimed at supporting businesses to prepare, plan and save costs through the efficient management of business processes and administration on their North Sea operations.
This course will be beneficial for both business support professionals such as human resources, legal, contracts, finance and non-financial professional advisors as well as any other personnel who are involved in North Sea business who are looking to improve their knowledge in:

- Employment taxes (including recent changes)
- Social security coverage and exemptions
- Management of overseas tax in the UK payroll

The course content will predominantly focus on Norway but shall also include content relevant to Denmark, together with some more high level discussion with regards to the Dutch and German sectors.
