Birds of prey from Huntly Falconry Centre will be demonstrating their incredible flying skills.

Visitors can enjoy watching half-hour displays by the centre’s owls, hawks, falcons and eagles at 12pm and 1.30pm.

There will also be a range of food and drink stands selling tasty treats, including Symposium Coffee House, Shona’s Shortbread and Cakes by Alli-baba.

And while mum and dad enjoy a coffee and cake, the kids can get creative at the children’s craft stand.

The event will showcase the stunning setting of Countesswells – which is located 10 minutes west of Aberdeen nestled in between three forests.

Ryan Swan, Project Manager for Countesswells said: “We are looking forward to welcoming everyone to our falconry day on Saturday. The Huntly Falconry Centre is long established, and the birds of prey never fail to wow spectators as they swoop and soar, so we hope to see lots of people enjoying the displays as well as taking a breather in the mature landscape and peaceful surroundings of Countesswells.

“We’ve been working hard to create a real sense of community which blends old-fashioned values with modern infrastructure and contemporary design. This special event celebrates our commitment to encouraging a natural and bio-diverse place to live.”

Designed with the aim of creating one of the greenest and most attractive environments in which to live and work, Countesswells Developments Limited has invested in creating an established place so that as the community continues to grow, they have access to a thriving, natural bio-diverse environment that promotes health, wellbeing and a direct connection with nature.

Admission to the falconry day is free of charge and no booking is required. For more details about Countesswells, please visit: https://www.countesswells.com
