Banff Castle will be the heart of festive celebrations this November, as Banff Fayres brings Banff Fayres Christmas at Banff Castle – a brand-new weekend of local shopping, music and family fun.
The Castle will come alive with stalls, sparkle and seasonal cheer, with stalls both inside and out, offering a wide range of gifts, crafts, food and festive treats – the perfect chance to get ahead for Christmas. The Castle Café will be open for two days, serving drinks, snacks and light lunches.
Adding to the magic, Highland cows from Aikenshill Highlands by Foveran will be visiting the Castle lawn on Saturday, and directly after the fayres there will be a screening of Ice Age at 2pm on both days.
On Sunday, there will be Christmas favourites from the Deveron Singers in the Seafield Room from 11am to noon, and the Banffshire Community Band in the grounds from 1 to 2pm.
Visitors are also advised to keep an eye out over the weekend for very special guests – Mr and Mrs Claus and Santa’s magical dog, Glen, who will be flying in briefly from the North Pole to spread festive cheer and remind everyone that they will be in Santa’s Magical Room the first two weekends in December.

Events like this not only showcase local talent but also bring more people into the area, giving our town and its traders a real boost in the run-up to Christmas.”
Banff Fayres Christmas at Banff Castle runs from 10am to 2pm on both Saturday 22 and Sunday 23 November. Admission is free.
Ice Age screenings from 2pm on both days. Admission fee applies.
