Aberdeen International Airport is issuing a final call for applications to the ABZ Propeller Fund for 2025.
The fund, which continues its £30,000 commitment for the year, supports local projects that champion education, sustainability, and economic regeneration across the region.
Organisations looking for funding have until Friday, 31st of October to apply for a grant up to £3,000.
Since its relaunch in 2022, the ABZ Propeller Fund has awarded more than £90,000 to 74 organisations, including 13 successful applicants in 2025 already. These grants have helped drive meaningful change in communities surrounding the airport.
Bruce Watson, Chairman of the ABZ Propeller Fund, said: “As we approach the final application window for 2025, we encourage local groups to take advantage of this opportunity. The fund has consistently supported a wide range of impactful initiatives, and we’re eager to see what new ideas emerge in this final round.”
Councillor Alan Turner, chair of Aberdeenshire Council’s Infrastructure Services Committee, said: “As a local authority, we’re proud to have played a key role in supporting this vital funding initiative for the north-east over the years.
“It’s tremendous to see local groups continuing to benefit from this funding. By backing community organisations and charities across both the City and Shire that are working to enhance local services and opportunities, the ABZ Propeller Fund continues to show its strong commitment to education, economic growth and sustainability in our region.”
The ABZ Propeller Fund committee, made up of airport staff and representatives from local authorities and government, will continue to meet quarterly to review submissions. However, applications must be received by the end of October to be considered for the 2025 funding cycle.
