The Finance & Accountancy Business Awards, affectionately known as The FAB Awards, are open for nominations ahead of the highly anticipated awards evening on Thursday 21st May at Union Kirk in Aberdeen.

This year builds on the inaugural ceremony which received widespread acclaim from finance professionals for celebrating the talent that’s often overlooked yet truly indispensable to business success.

Finance and accountancy professionals play a vital role in every organisation, from small partnerships to major corporations. The FAB Awards ensure this vital work receives the recognition it deserves, highlighting both individual and team achievements, including:

Rising Star – early-career professionals making impressive contributions.

Excellence in Finance – outstanding performance across finance.

Finance Team of the Year – collaborative teams driving impact.

CFO of the Year – visionary leadership at the senior level.

Finance For Good – using financial acumen to deliver sustainable and community benefit.

Amanda McCulloch, Chief Executive of TMM Recruitment, the awards premier partner, said: “The finance profession is evolving, with accountants acting as trusted business partners who shape strategy and drive value. It was wonderful to see that shift reflected in last year’s nominations, and I anticipate more organisations from practice, industry, the third sector and public sector will take this opportunity to showcase the exceptional talent in their teams.”

The 2026 FAB Awards will be judged by an exceptional panel of senior professionals. Collectively, they bring decades of leadership experience, technical expertise and professional insight:

Barry Duncan, MD & VP Finance CNR International

Lindsay McKenzie, Commercial Director ONE

Andrew Rose, CFO Flotation Energy

Ingrid Stewart, CFO Ashtead Technology

Paul Barry, CFO Subsea Micropiles

In keeping with the FAB Awards commitment to raise awareness and funds for local causes, this year’s nominated charity is AFC Community Trust

The FAB Awards reflect not just technical excellence but leadership, innovation, teamwork and contributions that elevate the profession, and offer an unparalleled chance to:

Celebrate and raise the profile of finance professionals whose work underpins organisational success.

Boost morale, motivation and retention by publicly recognising dedication and excellence.

Raise awareness about rewarding career paths within the finance profession.

Another highlight is the genuine team spirit, collective pride in colleagues and people celebrating success together – it really is a FAB night.

Entries for nominations are open until 30 March 2026, with early bird table bookings available until 6 April 2026.
