FIVE Fife-based businesses have signed up to exhibit at InvestFife’s exhibition stand at this year’s Offshore Europe, as businesses start to plan for post-COVID.Lamond & Murray, Ductform HFE, Bridge Systems Ltd and MRS Training & Rescue, will be joined by CluisTROM, for the biennial oil and gas and renewables exhibition and conference, which takes place in Aberdeen between the 7th and 10th September 2021.These five businesses will join InvestFife’s exhibition stand 2M20 to engage directly with technical experts on the exhibition floor, network with international market leaders and new innovative companies, to source, compare and collaborate.Dunfermline’s CluisTROM, which makes custom moulded ear protection, earphones and comms system for a range of industries, is the latest business to sign up for the event. Having exhibited independently at the 2019 event, CluisTROM made the conscious decision that it wanted to be part of InvestFife’s offering this year, as a means of boosting its presence.Neil McIntosh, CEO of CluisTROM, commented:“Having attended the show in 2019 as an independently branded company, we were really surprised at how much more engaged delegates were on the Fife stand. We quickly realised that we would have a much greater impact on clients and prospective customers, if we had been part of the InvestFife stand with its significantly bigger footprint and professional build quality.“With this in mind, we jumped at the opportunity to join the InvestFife stand for this year’s event. Offshore Europe is a major investment for any SME and any boost of brand exposure can only be a good thing.”Fife Council’s Trade Development Programme, which supports Fife businesses to participate at or visit exhibitions in a wide range of industry sectors, is organising the InvestFife stand as a showcase of Fife’s longstanding and expanding reputation in the sector.Ann Camus, Enterprise and Business Development Manager at Fife Council, said:“It’s extremely encouraging that five businesses have signed up to participate in InvestFife’s stand at Offshore Europe, and that CluisTROM sees the advantages of being part of a Fife-wide platform.“The opportunities that this event has created over the years for Fife businesses are significant, and in the current environment, it’s more important than ever to engage with a wider audience – in this case, an international audience – as a means of encouraging sustainability, growth and development.”Ann added:“Offshore Europe will also give InvestFife the opportunity to showcase the region’s impressive reputation as a location for the energy and renewables sector, as well as its wider appeal as the best place to live, work and do business.”
