A north-east florist is implementing growth and diversification strategies six months ahead of schedule.
Due to rapid growth in business since launching in September, XOXO Floral Boutique has added a classic and rare car hire service to its portfolio.
XOXO, set up by mother and son team Dona and Andrew Gibbon, has recently launched XOXO @ Home – a subscription-based home-delivery service. The company says sales are continuing to outstrip projections month on month.
The new service, Cars by XOXO, will launch later this month and offer wedding and private car hire for across the north-east. This will see the introduction of several rare and classic chauffeur driven cars, including a Beauford, Bramwith and a Rolls Royce.
Andrew, Director of XOXO Floral Boutique, said: “We’ve seen sales in all areas of the business increase month on month, outstripping our original forecasts by a considerable margin. We’ve received some fantastic customer feedback over recent months and there’s a clear demand for our bespoke and modern floristry services.
“We’ve worked incredibly hard to launch XOXO Floral Boutique and develop a solid foundation to support our future growth plans. We’re now able to begin diversifying our business and introducing new revenue streams to ensure the growth we’re currently experiencing continues beyond our first birthday,” he said.
“Providing a car hire service is a natural progression and a logical way to grow the business. After speaking to couples planning to marry we saw a high demand for this type of luxury car hire service. Cars by XOXO will allow us to offer wedding floristry and cars under the same roof, making wedding planning that little bit easier for our engaged couples.”
The company’s success has been recognised with its shortlisting as a finalist in The Elevator Awards, formerly known as the Grampian Awards for Business Excellence, Most Promising New Business category.
Dona, Director and Florist at XOXO, said: “To be picked as a finalist is amazing. We’re incredibly proud of our business as well as the products we offer and gaining recognition for all the hard work that’s gone into building the business is fantastic. We’re really looking forward to the next stage of the awards process and meeting the other finalists.”
