The list, which ranks the best 100 companies in the UK, is voted for by staff, who anonymously score their employers based on a number of factors from work life balance to salary.

Graeme Allan, Managing Partner at AAB said “This is a fantastic achievement for everyone at our firm. We recognise that exceptional people are our greatest asset and strive to ensure that our employees are engaged, motivated, committed and ultimately empowered to be the best they can be. By doing this we ensure that they are happy and fulfilled in their own roles and as a result we are able to offer our clients the best possible service to meet their needs.”

Ayrshire based hospitality group Buzzworks Holdings manages ten venues across the West of Scotland and their MD Kenny Blair said: “It’s a momentous achievement for us to place on the list for a third year running. And the fact that this award was the result of a comprehensive survey completed by our staff makes it all the more special.  For them to score Buzzworks as one of the UK’ best companies to work for is extremely gratifying and testament to a lot of hard that goes on behind the scenes. We are incredibly proud of our team and thankful to have such amazing people working within our business.

Gordon Cunningham, Managing Director, Clark Contracts said “This is a huge achievement for us following on from our Training Excellence Award at the 2017 Construction News Awards. It is excellent to gain this external recognition which we believe is as a result of the efforts made by our Customers 1st Steering Group, Healthy Working Lives and Academy teams to drive the focus on our people. We will use the detailed analysis of the survey to form our strategy to continue to improve this key element of our business.”
