Conrad Ritchie, a prominent businessman from Fraserburgh, has embarked on a new venture by launching Scotia Engineering Solutions, which he has branded a ’24/7 hotshot fixers’ business. The enterprise is a collaborative effort between Ritchie and two of his former colleagues from Score Group.

The new company, Scotia, aims to provide round-the-clock solutions for urgent business needs, and will focus on delivering on-site maintenance for the food and drink and distilling industries.

Possessing over 50 years of combined expertise, the new group has already put a six-figure amount into the venture and intends to hire 10 individuals by the year’s end.

Conrad Ritchie commented: “We will focus primarily on the food and drink and distilling industries with the maintenance of fluid control systems and pumps and valves.

“It’s a transfer of our skills. Scotia will be a very client-facing, people orientated company, we aim to tap into a gap in the market.

“We bring the solution to the customers door rather than they bring the product to us.

“We are looking to be 24/7 hotshot problem fixers.”

Cameron Croll, Operations Director said:

“As a small group of individuals we bring a vast knowledge of flow control and mechanical systems, from day one we will deliver quality and a very dedicated 24/7 service provision.”

Technical Director Kyle Ritchie said:

“I have spent my working life specialising in products that control flow and pressure, our company will be focused on safety and creating a local skill base of new talent to help us grow and build on our customer’s needs.”

The firm will begin its operations from Fraserburgh but will prioritise providing on-site maintenance services throughout the whole of the UK in the food and beverage, distilling, paper, and oil and gas sectors.
