Fraserburgh Harbour Seeks New Commissioners

Fraserburgh Harbour is currently recruiting for a number of new Commissioners to join its Board. As a Trust Port, Fraserburgh Harbour’s Commissioners – 12 in total – play a critical role in the Harbour’s ongoing success and development.

The Commissioners are responsible for the administration and maintenance of the Port, and this opportunity comes at a time when the Harbour is poised to execute its most ambitious project yet, in the form of the Harbour Masterplan.

The Harbour is looking for those who are committed to making a difference; helping to steer the development of Fraserburgh Harbour as it expands in order to safeguard and grow the local fishing industry, increase its involvement in offshore wind activity and provide career opportunities for generations to come.

The Harbour is keen to hear from individuals who can devote up to one day per month to the role and contribute experience in any of the following areas:

  • Fishing
  • Engineering & Construction
  • Energy Transition
  • Law
  • Environment
  • Business Administration
  • Accounting & Finance

Appointments are for an initial three years, commencing 10 January 2025.

Closing date for applications is 12noon Friday 1 November, with interviews to follow thereafter.
