Business Gateway is teaming up with Aberdeen City Council and Our Union Street to bring pop-up support to the city centre, making it easier for current and potential business owners to access advice where it is needed.
The clinics will offer visible support and guidance on anything related to developing a business, idea or business potential, helping to reduce barriers to entry for people who are ready to explore new opportunities on Union Street.
Aberdeen City Council Co-Leader Councillor Christian Allard said: “By working with Business Gateway and Our Union Street, we are making free business support more visible and accessible for local people who want to take their first step, grow their idea, or explore how they could play a part in the future of Union Street.”
Aberdeen City Council Co-Leader Councillor Ian Yuill said: “Union Street’s transformation is about more than improving buildings. It is also about supporting the businesses, entrepreneurs, and ideas that will help bring those spaces back into use. I encourage anyone with a business idea to take this opportunity to speak to one of Business Gateways advisors.”
The initiative complements the Union Street Empty Shops Grant Scheme, which supports eligible internal works in vacant shops to help new businesses and tenants get started. Together, the support demonstrates a joined-up approach to city centre regeneration by connecting advice, opportunity and investment.
