INTEGRATED Engineering Procurement and Construction (EPC) Contractor, Global E&C, has been awarded a contract as the default construction contractor for a number of EnQuest’s UK offshore assets.

They have also secured a position on EnQuest’s EMRS (Engineering, Modifications and Repair Services) framework for brownfield services (including survey, engineering and fabrication).

As default construction contractor, Global E&C will deliver all construction related activities across Thistle, Heather, Magnus, Northern Producer and EnQuest Producer.

Global E&C has held contracts with EnQuest for the past five years, where a strong relationship has been built through a combination of experience, safety record and service delivery that achieve cost savings through innovative ways of working.

Managing Director, Derek Mitchell, said: “We’re delighted to continue supporting EnQuest in the North Sea and this award is testament to our strong delivery over the years and the trust which has been built between our businesses.”

“It’s fantastic to have been recognised in this way and are looking forward to continuing to build on our track record of safely and efficiently executing brownfield scopes for EnQuest.”

Headquartered in Aberdeen, Global E&C is quickly establishing itself as a credible brownfield EPC contractor in the UK North Sea and is investing heavily in new technologies and digitalisation to support its brownfield modification service offering and to ensure commercial arrangements are aligned with customers’ value drivers.

Matt Abraham, OGUK’s supply chain director, said “Innovative commercial arrangements such as the relationship between EnQuest and Global E&C help unlock North Sea activity in a safe and sustainable way, and drive improvements in performance.”

Global E&C is also looking to strengthen its 900 strong workforces and recruit an additional 60 offshore and onshore personnel across a number of disciplines.

Terry Allan, Global E&C’s Corporate Development Director commented: “We’ve been very focused on a strategy to be the most efficient Brownfield focussed EPC contract in the North Sea and this notable award for our team is a significant part in that journey.”
