Grampian MS Therapy Centre is celebrating after its inaugural Ladies’ Day proved to be a sparkling success – raising more than £33,000 to support people living with multiple sclerosis and other neurological conditions across the north-east.
Held on Saturday at the elegant Aberdeen Douglas Hotel, the sold-out event brought together supporters from across the region for an afternoon filled with laughter, generosity, and community spirit. From the moment guests arrived, there was a real sense of excitement in the air, with friends old and new gathering to show their support for the Dyce-based charity.
The venue provided the perfect backdrop for the occasion, with guests enjoying a lively programme of entertainment, fundraising games, and a highly anticipated raffle and auction. Thanks to the incredible generosity in the room – and to those who supported from afar — the event raised an outstanding £33,000, funds that will go directly towards maintaining and developing the Centre’s vital services.

As a wholly independent charity, Grampian MS Therapy Centre relies heavily on fundraising and community support to continue offering oxygen therapy, physiotherapy, and wellbeing support to those who need it most. Events such as Ladies’ Day play a crucial role in ensuring the Centre can continue to provide a welcoming, supportive space for local people and their families.
In Case You Missed it:
Centre representatives have expressed their heartfelt thanks to everyone who helped make the day possible. From businesses and individuals who donated raffle prizes, sponsorship, and auction items to those who attended and gave so generously, each contribution made a real difference.
“The support we received for our very first Ladies’ Day has been nothing short of phenomenal,” Sandy Duncan said. “To see the event sell out and to witness such kindness and enthusiasm in the room was incredibly moving. Every pound raised will help us continue delivering essential therapies and support to people in our community.”
Planning is already underway for future events and other upcoming fundraising initiatives, which will be announced in due course.

For now, however, it’s a moment to reflect on a truly memorable afternoon — one that not only raised significant funds but also highlighted the strength, warmth, and generosity of the north-east community.
