Granite PR’s Tenth Anniversary Year To Kick Off With Burns Extravaganza

17/01/2018

An Aberdeen-based PR company has kicked off its milestone tenth anniversary year by announcing plans to host a giant Burns Supper in the city.

Granite PR was founded in 2008 by local entrepreneur Brett Jackson.  During the past decade the company has grown both at home and abroad, currently working with clients in the likes of Scotland, the US and Norway on a variety of projects and campaigns.  In addition to the full suite of traditional PR services, Granite PR has established a strong reputation as the creator of key events such as the annual Aberdeen-Houston Gateway knowledge sharing platform and the Granite Expo business showcase.

To celebrate the company’s tenth birthday, Granite PR has teamed up with Aberdeenshire-based event management company Business Plus Scotland to stage the inaugural Granite Burns Supper.  It will take place on Thursday, January 25th at the city’s DoubleTree by Hilton Aberdeen Treetops – and with over 500 people already booked, the event looks set to be the largest of its kind in the North East.

The Granite Burns Supper will run from 6.30pm until 11pm and will feature a three-course meal, an indoor Scottish market and networking opportunities.  In addition will be traditional music from Bridge the Gap and The Davidson Brothers, plus dancing from Banchory’s Coutts School of Highland Dancing.

The evening will also raise money for Flying Start, the global charity partnership between British Airways and Comic Relief.

Commenting on plans for the Granite Burns Supper, Granite PR Founder/MD and event creator Brett Jackson said: “In the ten years since the company was set up, networking has become one of the most important add-on services that we provide.  It seems fitting, therefore, to kick off our tenth anniversary year with an event in celebration of cultural, social and business networking which also celebrates our national bard – and raises money for a good cause all at the same time.”
