Greenwell, a leading provider of new and used office furniture as well as storage solutions in the North East, has demonstrated its commitment to the local community by donating 30 ergonomic office chairs to North East Sensory Services (NESS), an independent, local charity supporting people living with sensory loss across the North East of Scotland.

This donation will enhance the comfort and functionality of workspaces used by NESS staff, volunteers, and service users at their Aberdeen base.

Pam Smith from NESS expressed her thanks, saying:

“We are incredibly grateful to Greenwell for this practical and thoughtful donation. The new chairs will be a great addition to our offices and meeting spaces, helping us create a more welcoming environment for our staff and our service users. It’s fantastic to see local businesses like Greenwell investing in independent, local charities like ours.”

Julie Wood, Director at Greenwell Equipment, said:

“We’re proud to support a local charity like NESS, which has such a meaningful impact across the region. We hope this donation helps support their ongoing efforts and the vital services they provide.”

This collaboration between two well-established North East organisations reflects a shared commitment to strengthening community ties across Aberdeen and beyond.

NESS is a leading provider of services for people who are blind, deaf, or have dual sensory loss, delivering the first integrated joint sensory services in Aberdeen, Aberdeenshire, Dundee, Angus, and Moray. With a mission to achieve independence for those living with sensory impairment, NESS currently supports over 6,500 people with sensory loss and provides a range of services from rehabilitation and technology training to employment services and social groups.

Greenwell, established in 1996, provide new and used office furniture, as well as new and used containers for shipping and storage, portable and modular buildings, warehouse racking and shelving systems, available for sale or rental from their depot in Aberdeen.
