THE group behind Big Manny’s Pizza are set to open a new Irish pub in Aberdeen city centre.

Brothers Phil and Ashley Adams, who already own The Adams Lounge on Holburn Street, have confirmed they’ll convert the former Café D’ag on Crown Street into a new bar, with the aim of opening its doors in late June or July.

The new venue will create an additional 20 city centre jobs, but will distance itself from the Big Manny’s Pizza brand.

“We will be open seven days a week for food and there will be all day breakfasts served with an extensive cocktail menu, as well as a traditional pub food menu as well,” said co-owner Phil, speaking to the Press & Journal.

“This is a long term plan to be a focal point in the pub scene in Aberdeen and restore it to the operation that the venue deserves.”
