H2 Twin City partners host webinar series

A WEBINAR series is being hosted by Aberdeen City Council and Kobe City Government as part of the H2 Twin Cities initiative.  
 
H2 Twin Cities is an initiative under the US Government Clean Energy Ministerial (CEM), supported by the UK Government’s Department of Energy Security & Net Zero and Japan’s Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry.    
 
As part of the project, Aberdeen and Kobe will share best practice and lessons learned from each city’s hydrogen journey and showcase developments to other regions through the H2 Twin Cities platform.

The Hydrogen Twin Cities: H2 Aberdeen – Hydrogen is Here webinar will be held on Thursday 25th January 2024 (08:00GMT).  
 
The webinar will provide a detailed overview of Aberdeen’s transport fleet, how vehicles are procured and utilised as well as provide information on the infrastructure available in the city to support hydrogen transport. Attendees will also hear about hydrogen transport solutions and vehicle conversion as well as supporting skills services available in Aberdeen. 

 
Businesses and individuals from Aberdeen and further afield are invited to register for a webinar organised by Kobe City Government on Tuesday 30th January at 08:00GMT.  Kobe was the first place in the world to receive a shipment of liquefied hydrogen to its Port-side hydrogen receiving terminal. Kawasaki Heavy Industries will share its experience of this demonstration project and Kobe’s efforts to develop robust supply chains capable of supporting the utilisation of clean hydrogen as a scalable energy source.
