This is the second creative partnership event between the school and Hotel on Justice Mill Lane, following on from the success of last year’s exhibition.

The work is a selection of final paintings and drawings taken from exam folios used in the summer exam diet. The artist’s ages range from 15 to 18 years old and each piece of work relates to an individual creative project represented through still life and portraiture approaches.

The advanced higher student is represented by three pieces from a larger body of work that is linked to a broader dementia theme.

Drew McIntyre, Faculty Head of Expressive Arts, said: “Pupils get the buzz of seeing their work properly framed and displayed in a commercial setting” while a senior pupil added: “It’s a boost to our confidence because other people are seeing our work and admiring it”.

The exhibition will run through the remainder of December and into the early New Year.
